Having completed my medicine study in India, I decided to move abroad for further education and that is where my journey of dermatology started. I carried out my 2 years residency programme in dermatology in Moscow, Russia. During my residency, I participated in many CME programmes held in the very city of Moscow as well as in different cities across Russia, attended seminars and conferences. I later on found this out helpful as my active participation in all these events not only was beneficial for my personal development but also provided me with the opportunity to meet and share the stage with one of the finests of the dermatologists and trichologists from across the globe, exchange thoughts and share knowledge. It also served as a platform and gave me an opportunity to hone my practical skills by getting myself involved in performing different dermatological and cosmetic procedures. 

During residency, I worked at the finest of the government hospitals, thanks to my professor and department of dermatology for giving me such an opportunity. We encountered with patients ranging from having common skin or hair diseases or conditions to having rare skin or hair diseases or conditions that includes, acne on the face or any other part of the body, hyperpigmented spots or patches as in freckles and melasma, chronic illnesses such as eczema and psoriasis, vitiligo, urticaria, irritant or allergic contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, bacterial infections, viral infections such as herpes zoster, herpes simplex, and fungal infections such as tinea cruris, tinea corporis, hair loss, male pattern hair loss, female pattern hair loss, alopecia areata, having nevi, skin carcinomas and many others. I also carried out a 6 months diploma programme in cosmetology after residency.
